AC Shadows Reveals Bizarre AoT Crossover for Holiday Season

In a bizarre collaboration that challenges conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Revealed

According to the official announcement, "A strange meeting pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of banned rituals and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The storyline features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret cult.

The questline centers on "strange trials and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses

The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Extra Features

Players who finish the adventure will receive an special katana in addition to numerous objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Third Free Story Update

This update also adds the game's latest free story episode, titled "A Puzzlement."
